OC with Mima & PoPo

Last weekend Evan's Mima and PoPo came up to visit and Evan's still talking about it because he had so much fun with them. We all stayed at motel right off of 12th st. and Evan took over both our room and his grandparents' room next door (Mike kept setting off these squealing balloon rockets into his parents room and off the balcony). Friday night was rainy so we made a run for it to Mac & Manco's for dinner then hung out at the arcade and the Surf Mall. Here's Evan so happy to be with his Mima and PoPo.

Evan is really good at this game - because he cheats!

The next morning was rainy again so we made another run for it to get breakfast where I had to trick Evan into eating his blueberries. Then - another arcade! We can't keep him away from them.

Mima and PoPo hang out on the stormy boardwalk.

Then Evan, Mike & Mima made a run for it for the ocean. Notice how Mike and his mom are all wet? That's from our little stinker who loves to splash everyone.

After being in the water as usual, Evan roles in the sand and gets a nice sandy coating all over his body.

Then he makes a run for it.

The Sun! Yayyyy
A little girl gave Evan that ball. She won it in the arcade and didn't want it.

Time for rides!

Then ice cream, completing Evan's nutritious dinner of pumpkin bread and ice cream. No wonder if took days for him to poop! Nobody was hungry for dinner, but me, so we ate on the run. Then more rides!

We squeezed in every ride we possibly could. Evan wanted to go on the scary stuff with Mima only. And so Mima went on them with him. Now that's grandmotherly love! They went on the Nascars and the rollercoaster and did no hands! We have adorable video of everything on my new video camera, but I have yet to get that stuff on a hard drive to post it. I think it's going to take up too much space on my laptop. Anyway, we went on everything that Evan wanted, BUT the gigantic ferris wheel that overlooks the whole island. We just got a little distracted. So at the end of the night when we're walking down the boardwalk back to the hotel Evan says "Ooooh! We forgot the ferris wheel! Oh NO!" and he was so upset.

Baby is so sleepy.

The next day we all met my parents at Carmen's in Sea Isle for breakfast on the bay. Mike made the decision to drive his parents' car. And as fate goes - Evan got carsick on the way there! At first I thought it was because Evan was traveling with an empty stomach except for a few strawberries. Then I noticed he vomited an electric blue. Mike blamed it on grape juice. It was only later that I found out from a secret source that Evan was fed blue cotton candy before the car ride. Daddy!
