Evan... Incarcerated!

Like father, like son. Evan was arrested on Saturday night for wreaking havoc at McDonalds and biting his mommy. He was taken to Stone Harbor Police Dept. (where Aunt Ella happened to be working).

Here's his mugshot. I had no idea that Evan is almost 6 feet tall.

Partners in crime!

And Evan in his jail cell:

Evan AND Mike in the jail cell. I asked the sargeant if I could pick them up in a few days.

And then the cousins joined them.

Evan then makes his big escape!

Here's everyone at Stone Harbor Police Dept.

Actually, this is a tradition that started when Chris and I were kids. We'd get a picture in a jail cell when Aunt Ella was working. The tradition then continued on with the younger cousins, and finally to Evan - and mike too! We left around 6:30pm and saw a blazing fire in Sea Isle while driving home along the parkway. Apparently all hell broke loose after we left and all of the cops had to go to the scene where 6 condos were destroyed! It was so eerie to watch.

Olivia's 2nd 9th Birthday

Olivia turned 9 twice! She had her family party last weekend at her house and her friend party this weekend at McDonalds (not to mention her school party - I guess it's her birthday month!). Imagine 30 fourth graders running around, sucking helium out of balloons. Aunt Donna was VERY cheerful during the whole party, which makes me think she may have added some Bailey's to the coffee she was sucking down. Mike, Evan and I crashed it and then kidnapped the cousins and took them to the jail in Stone Harbor.

Evan eating apples and yogurt. He eats like his momma - with his hands!

He also climbed up on the table like he owned the place. What a bratsky.

He finally relaxes with his big cousin Jeff!

Uh Oh

First of all, I discovered a 6th tooth pushing through this morning! I was wondering why Evan wasn't eating or napping much. Also, our guy climbed up to the second step today! Here's a photo of him climbing down. I missed the money shot of him standing on step #2.

Also, Evan doesn't like to sit in his exersaucer anymore, but he loves to crawl under it. Here's his little heinie squooshed in it. You can't see it here, but he's playing with a spoon on the other side.

Happy Birthday 10 Months Old!!!

I can't believe how cute he is. He has 5 teeth and recently started "dancing". He sits on his heels and bops to music. He pulls himself up on everything - he's so close to being able to walk! Also Evan and I missed his big photo shoot in NYC. It all started with me pushing him in the rain to the 9 bus stop and noticing that both his shoes and one of his socks had fallen off. I had to walk back to look for his stuff and missed the bus. Then I felt bad when we came in the house and he wanted to nap. Poor baby... I was turning into one of those pageant moms hehehe. So I called Colleen and said I couldn't go.

Baby's First Halloween ... Finally!

Evan was a chicken this year because he LOVED chickens at 5 mos. old. Well, at Key West we noticed that chickens don't thrill him like they did when he was a little baby. He liked them, but we didn't get any belly laughs. Oh well, he was still the cutest thing ever. Mike, my mom and I even dressed up, but we were not the cutest things ever.

Evan getting ready with grandmom

Now he's dressed and ready to Trick-or-Treat

The Chicken Family is ready to go. The funny thing is that some of the houses we went to took pictures of us! We were the hit of Martin Street. Mike picked up the chicken hoods in Chile, and he bought the boas in New Orleans. I guess his business trips really did come in handy!

The baby chick with 2 old hens

This is Evan's VERY FIRST TRICK-OR-TREAT!! This guy let us take his picture because he was Evan's first stop.

Evan loved grabbing the candy and shaking it. He would hold it until the next house when we'd take it from him and drop it into the pumpkin so he could get more AND MORE.

Evan is following the footsteps of his parents by doublefisting candy bars.

We asked someone if we could pose on his porch because it was so cute.

Here I am pushing those older brats... er... kiddies aside to get my little guy in there to get some candy!

Help yourself to the candy, rookie, not the sign!

Much better

Ooooo. It's getting daaaarker. spooky

Even Mike went Trick-or-Treating! He got a beer and was invited back to this dude's house for his mom's homemade baked ziti. I'm not kidding.

Dogs were trick-or-treating too!

So Evan's first Halloween was a huge success. He loved trick-or-treating and meeting people. Most people gave him extra candy because he was so cute. After walking around, Mike, Evan and I went home and passed out candy with our neighbors on their porch. My mom went back to NJ, because my cousins traditionally end their Halloween night at my parents' house when my mom puts a whole pineapple in each of their candy bags. What a night!

I'll end on something spooky

Wild weekend

Evan is always on the move. Mike and I are too and it's sorta taking toll on my sanity, but hey! So last weekend we went to NYC. Mike was there for "bidness" and Evan and I tagged along. Our hotel was awesome, even if the room was small. Check it out www.hotelhudson.com. Ev and I strolled the city in the rain and then hung out with Aunt Brittany at Howard TV On Demand. Evan took his first subway ride. It was a little hectic hauling his enormous stroller up and down the steps. Some nice New Yorkers helped us up and down, including some poor lady with a bum arm and a limp. We stayed for about 5 hours at Brit's job and met everyone. The view from the place is out of this world. You can see the Statue of Liberty and a trapeze school!

Here's Evan working hard at Brittany's desk. Notice all the photos in her office are of Evan...

Evan also hung out with Brit's bosses - Howard TV On Demand's Executive Producers Doug Goodstein and Mike Gange. They wanted to hire Evan, but who needs to work when you're so DAMN CUTE!

Brit's coworkers gave Evan toys to play with. Here's Evan with Producer Richie Wilson and a boxing glove.

Evan was sooo tired when we left. Here's Evan and Brittany waiting for a cab after we left Brit's work. It's almost 7pm I think. The thermal bag holding his food is leaking all over the place. Look at those beautiful faces! Awwwwwww

Evan's first cab ride (sans a car seat). We didn't feel like taking the subway back.

The next day we ate lunch at this Belgian cafe that had yummy organic food. Evan and I found it our first day and ate for pretty much every meal, except for the night that I had Goldfish crackers for dinner.
