Month 2!

Presenting Winston Churchill

Just kidding - it's Noah Michael!

With his big brother.

Oh my God - those chubby cheeks.

I can't believe it has been a month since I last posted, but we've been super busy over here. We've moved into a new house and we've been hanging out with family and friends the whole time. It has been incredible to be able to see everyone whenever we want. My dad stops by after work all the time, Aunt Ella, Aunt Wanda, Brittany, Aunt Genie, Jess and Sarah have all babysat. One night we went out with our house guest, Rocky and came home at midnight to find 3 babysitters - Aunt Wanda, Sarah and Aunt Ella. We actually started out with 2, but it made my heart burst to see everyone. We are so lucky! It's funny because Evan has always been such a momma's boy, but poor little Noah is passed around so much, I don't think he knows who I am. He thinks he has 8 mommas. I think it has a lot to do with the nursing too. Evan strictly breastfed. Noah prefers the bottle (except for the middle of the night - I'm so happy I don't have to make a bottle when I'm half asleep) so I have to constantly pump my milk and then bottlefeed him. Such a pain having that extra step except now anyone can watch him because he doesn't need my boobs. In fact we had a crazy day today... Thank God Aunt Genie, Uncle Dan and Jess were visiting because my $150 breast pump finally quit. It was on it's last leg, but today was it. Unfortunately, Mike took the car to Philly today... So I had to get poor Uncle Dan to drive me to CVS to buy a quick replacement.

Yesterday Noah had his 2 mo. well visit and he has gained 6 lbs. since birth! Here's his stats...

Weight: 13 lbs.10 oz 86.71%
Height: 2 ft. 82.84%
Head: 15.75 in. 47%

Also, poor guy is starting reflux meds, just like his brother. I'm just glad it isn't affecting his weight - poor little guy. As for our life here... I'm not going to lie and say it's hearts and rainbows all the time. It's HARD. very hard. I have a 3 year old jumping off the steps and running around, plus a crying baby, plus moving into a new place. I'll be honest and say I've had some breakdowns. Thank God for Mike and the family... Everybody's here all the time to entertain the big boy and the baby, giving me a break. Another great thing is Marti came with John, Jude and Maggie. Evan was dying for some kids and he had such a great time playing with them (and Becky) all day. In fact, Becky came over for a sleepover when Mike was away and I think Noah, Evan and I gave her a good dose of birth control!

Also, my little Evan despite stripping naked everyday and running around like crazy has been way better than I ever could imagine. He's actually grown up quite a bit, peeing in the potty by himself - MOMMY! I PEED ALL OVER THE SEAT! Without me asking he calms the baby - either by turning on his musical play pad, popping in a pacifier, or even a bottle. Evan baby, you're awesome. When Marti's kids arrived last week, John got out of the car and said "Mom, Evan got big!". It's true. He's a little boy. I don't know if it's because I have a newborn, but he's lost so much baby in his face and body.

Here he is with his dad.
