Please Touch Museum

We have a membership now and it's awesome! The only crappy part is getting him to leave.

Evan drives a Septa bus!

Jammin out.

Getting tired.

Avery's 5th Birthday

Evan's not the only one with a January birthday. Avery had her 5th birthday at the bowling alley. It was Evan's first bowling trip and he loved it!

Evan actually bowled great.

The ramp was cool too...

Check out those adorable little bowling shoes during arcade time.

I had to catch Colin to get a picture.

And there was pirate cake!

Happy Birthday, Avery!

Evan's First Real Haircut

Mike and my sister were making fun of the haircuts I give my boy so Evan and I walked up to the Supercuts one day.

He was so cute in his light up boots! He was in a line of guys getting their hair cut.

Evan ate his lunch in the Supercuts. Uncrustables...

And oranges...

And the new haircut! Doesn't he look dashing? I miss his long hippy hair though. We'll probably have it long in the summer again.

And Evan made a car out of clay!

Happy 3rd Birthday, little guy!

Evan woke up to a house decorated by his daddy, filled with balloons, confetti, Christmas lights and delicious chocolate chip pancakes before school! Evan asked, "Why are there Christmas lights? Christmas is over." Mike responded, "They're birthday lights!" Evan was like, "No, they are Christmas lights." But he enjoyed having them on the whole week!

Evan's teachers offered to take pictures of the birthday celebration at school.

After school and a nap, Mike came home and we headed to Chuck E. Cheese (birthday boy's request). Evan's wearing his birthday crown.

Evan's favorite part was climbing through the tunnels on the ceiling. If you look in the left wheel, you'll see his little face!

Close up.

Now he's somewhere in the tunnels. The only way we knew he was in there was that Mike climbed up and was talking to him and the acoustics through the thing were great. I was below trying to following his light-up boots (I cleaned the dog poop off of them finally!) When Mike asked Evan to climb down, Evan shouted back from somewhere within the tunnel system, "How about two midits (minutes), okay?" His response to anything we ask him to do these days.

Snow!

Make sure you scroll down past the Sandocia video to the artshow and Evan's Christmas pageant... I just posted some video there!

This is window right next to the toilet. We poop and pee to this beautiful view everyday. Here's the morning after the second snowstorm.

Evan's old snow fort has totally been snowed over. Mike had to rebuild this day. Look how we can just step over our little cemetery fence on the left over to Courtney and Rick's yard!

Days like these we wish we didn't have street parking. Shoveling out in ol' Roxborough is a neighborly joint effort. It's like a block party.

Evan loved whizzing down the street. It's not everyday that he gets to hang out in the middle of the road.

The men are tired from digging out the whole street.

At one point I went out to relieve Mike so he could work. He and Evan were at the end of the street hanging out with the neighbors on the corner and Evan was playing happily with their dog, Tiffany. After Mike left, Evan laid in the center of the street claiming he was cold, but couldn't (wouldn't) walk. After a 10 minute argument, big, fat, pregnant me in about 10 layers of snow gear dragged him up hill to the house, up the steps and literally had to throw him in the front door. I was so pissed that he immediately was sent upstairs for a long time out. We've been fighting A LOT since this snow started. After Evan's timeout, he ironically picked up one of Mike's books and Mike and I couldn't help but laugh thinking Evan was trying to tell me something in this shot.

This is earlier in the day when Evan actually loved me. He and Mike got me these "body stickers" as part of my Valentine gift and they both decorated my belly with them.

We had celebrated Valentines Day on Wednesday night because we would be at my parents' house on the actual day. My parents and sister are watching Evan while we have a romantic dinner at Lucky Bones. Then house hunting the next day. Here's our pre-val celebration.

Evan freaked out over his chocolate peeps, and big chocolate dog (in a cardboard doghouse).

Evan wanted Mike to draw a picture of me on the front envelope of my card. Then he told Mike to draw my boobies. Which Mike did. Evan is OBSESSED with boobies lately. A couple of weekends ago he tried to slip his hands up my sister's shirt. He was wearing these long black lady gloves that belonged to our late Aunt Do. When Brittany protested he said, "But Aunt Brittany, I'm wearing magic hands!"

Evan is very seriously explaining how he wanted the card to have boobies on it.

And here's the card itself that he got me.

I baked my guys Valentines Day brownies and got Mike a brand new pillow that he always wanted. Then I felt bad because Mike got me a ton of candy and an ipod. I made him take the candy to work today because I overdosed on it yesterday and spent the night miserable with acid reflux and belly aches. Little Sandocia was freaking out from a sugar high too. I don't think the Mexican food helped either. We had such cabin fever that the 3 of us walked a half mile in the snowy wasteland to the Adobe for some dinner. Actually, at Evan's request. We had about a week and a half of eating all meals at home (I really stocked up well at the grocery store), but it had taken it's toll on our family that loves to eat out. Ev was like "Are we going to Adobe or Cactus?" I think he wanted Cactus since the waitresses go nuts over him there, but we weren't about to walk down to Main St. in this weather.

Baby Sandocia at 20 weeks

I hope my two boys will be best friends! Awww... I tell Evan that all the time and he gets this huge smile on his face. Then I have to quickly add "When Sandocia gets older... because at first all he's going to do is sleep, cry, poop, pee and eat!"

Isn't this great that I'm updating this blog again? It's all due to cabin fever and being holed up indoors too long from these crazy snow storms. Evan and I were out for this morning while Mike worked in the house (there's no way he's making it to the office!) Evan likes to shovel out other people's cars and sidewalks, but not ours. Plus he likes hanging out with Brandon out there. We came in soaking wet and starving. The last few times Mike took Evan out. Ev definitely enjoys going out with Mike more. Mike's much more active than old, pregnant me. He even built a fantastic snow fort in the back yard and the two guys spray painted the whole thing with food coloring. Evan came in with his hands and face completely tye-dyed.

So this is from a very long time ago... when I was 20 weeks. As of tomorrow I'll be at 31 weeks. Please take your time, baby boy. Your family needs to buy a new home before your arrival! This is also when we found out that Sandocia is a BOY!

So now the cable to video camera has been found and I stupidly uploaded all of the footage to imovie on my computer. I think I overtaxed the program and I can't open imovie without it chugging and chugging. It's stuck on creating thumbnails and I even had it going overnight and still no progress! My poor little laptop was hot to the touch in the morning. Actually, my macbook was laying next to me on the couch all last night. I'm having a rough time sleeping in the bed lately. So Evan had taken over my spot next to Mike and I tossed and turned on the couch while the two of them were happily snoring upstairs in mine and mike's bed. Yes, Evan's a snorer. He's had a constant running nose all winter and he sounds like an old man when he's sleeping.

Anyway, our Sandocia became way more active earlier than Evan was and is now to the point where he's doing somersaults, flips, crunches and such in my belly. And it's contant... He's active all day long! He started pretty much at 21 weeks on the dot, where I didn't feel Evan until about a month later. It's great to watch my belly ripple as I'm sitting on the couch watching tv. When I'm up at night uncomfortable, little Sandocia keeps me company. My stomach literally shakes sometimes and you can see a hard little elbow or knee sticking out. When you push on the hard spot, it jumps back! So amazing...

I really feel that Evan's going to be an awesome big brother. He has to talk to the baby everyday. He pretends to call the baby on the cell phone and asks him questions, but then tells me that he's pretending because "babies can't talk, they just cry." He says he wants to share a room with his brother and I think they will when they're older regardless even if we have the space for them to each have their own room someday. I heard it's a good thing to do when kids are young. Besides, maybe I have my head in the clouds, but I really don't think I'll have much of a problem with jealousy with Evan. He's not a jealous guy and every friend he has has a baby sibling. I hold babies in front of him all the time and he could care less. He doesn't do bad stuff for attention while I'm hanging with the infants, nor does he try to hurt any little ones under the guise of "I'm just playing!" If he did, Mike and I would nip it in the bud before a case of the first-born little overindulged monster emerged (I think that was me with my sister), but I think we're in great shape and won't have too much to worry about. He's so social and loves school, gym class and playdates and plays great with pretty much anyone. Actually, I know the kid is aching for a constant playmate, especially with this crappy SNOW!
