Evan's Big Friday Night Out

We decided to take our first trip out of the house with Evan to the King of Prussia Mall tonight. Big mistake. First, upon arrival, we pulled the folded stroller out of the car and onto the sidewalk in the frigid cold only to both stare at each other - we forgot how to unfold it and secure his seat to it, since it was our first time using it. We figured that out quickly enough, then the first stop was Sears, where we decided to take a look at the washers and dryers on sale. Evan was all "Energy Star, Schmenergy Star" and voiced his disinterest in the conversation with the appliance salesman via his diaper. So it was on to the women's bathroom in Sears, because the salesman told us there was a "Diaper Deck" in there. That sounded promising - "Diaper Deck." We had to walk through the lawnmower/tractor and tool section to get there. Must be pretty big and impressive! Steph went in to the bathroom only to find that someone ripped the "Diaper Deck" off the wall. Thanks guys! So we had to change Evan in the bathroom hallway, using two chairs we found there. Only Evan wasn't done - he still had to go. And he saved his best for last, Both numbers. Stuff was flying this way, that way, hitting the floor - Steph quite literally had her hands full, and this was all within 15 minutes of our arrival at the mall. After we finished displaying our superior parenting skills in the Sears bathroom hallway, we took off immediately for Nordstrom's. For their big winter sale? Heck no! Evan needed to eat dinner and we knew they would have the best bathroom in the mall for that purpose. In fact, they had a posh Mother's Room, and the three of us almost took a nap in there, it was so nice; plush couch, piped-in soothing piano music, it was worth the trip! From the Nordstrom's Mother's Room, we made a stop at Model's to see if they had any Flyers or Phillies jersey's that would fit Evan (no!), then a quick dinner at Friday's before heading home in time to feed Evan once again. So basically, we traveled 35 minutes in the car to nurse him and change his diaper in the mall. Does the fun ever end? I think it's only begining...
