Here's to the best dads in the world! We love you!!
I know we're so behind on this thing, but we haven't been home that much and my computer was being fixed. A lot has happened since our last blog entry, so here I am getting caught up.
Here's Evan patrolling the beach at Sea Isle.
The next day Pop and Mike opened Fathers Day gifts.
Too much coffee!
A bow doubled as a ninja headband.
We then had breakfast at Carmen's on the water, where Evan played in a toy box while we ate.
Evan with his Pop.
Mike and Evan have some man time.
Later that night, we then had dinner at a crazy place far, far away where we had to wait literally an hour and a half for our food. I don't know what's going on here, but this is the place where we ate. Crazy.

Technical Difficulties
Since I'm having computer problems and since Evan hid the cable that connects the camera to the computer, I'm posting an old photo. This is 'Baby Napping on the Beach'. I put this up because I don't think I posted enough beach shots. ARE YOU SICK OF THE BEACH YET?
Anyway, I just wanted to give you an Evan update. We had lots of fun on fathers day and got Mike surf lessons and his favorite cologne (Dolce & Gabanna). We also made him some cute cards, but of course I can't post any photos! Saturday we went to skimmers weekend in Sea Isle and hung out at the beach and shopped there (and my mom bought me an early bday present - a Hobo clutch that fits nicely in my diaper bag). Sunday we had breakfast at Carmen's right on the bay and that night went to some crazy restaurant/bar that my dad picked out.
Also, due to the fact that Evan isn't gaining weight and only growing taller, the doctor suspects his acid reflux is back. Once again I'm off dairy and so is Evan. He also started taking an anti-reflux medication and he's going to attend the Feeding Clinic at CHOP. Almost immediately after starting the medication he started eating like a piggy again. Today at his playdate he ate a slice of watermelon, a banana, 2 Dunkin Donut munchkins and popcorn. Before hanging with his friends he ate a ton of cereal with Silk. Then tonight we both had left-over dinner from last night which was whole wheat pasta with pesto and grilled shrimp. He also ate some tomato pie- my boy has always loved anything tomato.
Hopefully we can get rid of Evan's eating problems... I chatted with a mom today about the feeding clinic since her first son had gone there too with reflux and it sounds pretty good. They also figure out a diet specific to your child. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

yes, more beach
More rides
We met Mel, Dan (Evan's Godfather) and Elizabeth for dinner and rides in Wildwood. Here we are on the roof deck of Stewart's Rootbeer on the boardwalk. Evan actually ate some crabcake and fried mac n cheese bites!
Here' our little Elizabeth!
What was first ride of the night? Something little? No way! Here's Evan and Elizabeth on the giant ferris wheel with their dads. Mike thought Evan would love the view of Wildwood from the top, but Evan was more interested in poking his finger in the door lock of their "cage".
Now for the tame stuff. This is old hat for Elizabeth. I think she just went on to humor Evan because she likes the scarier rides.
Notice how Evan's steering the boat behind him too?
And the cars, of course!
Then I squooshed my big, fat hiney in a ride that Evan wasn't allowed to go on alone. Bad move.

More beach fun
Is there anything more precious??
Playing in the "wawa".
Notice the tiki Mike built on the right? It remained on the beach all day, even after we moved our stuff further back. I guess nobody wants to mess with a tiki.
Here he is munching on a carrot. I think it feels good on his teeth (he has TEN now!) He also used the carrot to stir the water in his bucket and dip in the sand. Yum!

out to dinner
Funland
The first night at Funland wasn't so Fun. Evan was fighting to keep his eyelids open and wasn't tolerating much of anything. Mike and I were disappointed and put Evan to bed immediately when we walked back to the hotel, but the second night made up for everything! He gave us huge smiles, waved at us from the rides (and he waved at other families too... he thought they were there waving at him).
Here's the first night. Ho hum. Riding with mom and dad is booooooring.
He had more fun with the scary clown.
So tired.
Here's the second night. We went with Mike's coworker Rene, his wife Jennifer and 2 kiddies. Then Mike's other coworker Sheryl and her husband Bill met us.
This is the VERY first time Evan went on a ride by himself. Here he is on the boats,
He also made friends with a the ride attendant and she would wave to him as he skimmed by. This is a big step for us...
This was a little ferris wheel. Much too scary for Evan to go on alone.
And the fire engines... Evan liked steering the back and front at the same time.
Now Mike and I are getting a bit braver. We let Evan go on the cars 3 times! These things actually moved very fast. See his hair flying in the breeze?
Okay. Now we're insane. Neither of us had any idea that this ride spun fast, then lifted into the air... at least a couple of feet above our heads. We were gritting our teeth through this one, but Evan obviously loved it.
Sheryl and Bill hung out with us too. Evan gave them hi fives and pumped his fists after each ride.
