The aquarium has many interactive exhibits where kids can touch sharks, jellyfish, star fish, etc... Here, Evan and I are touching rays. The water was cold, so it took a while to convince Ev he should put his hand in there. Once in, he couldn't stop touching as many rays as he could!
Here's Evan with a pirate he captured all by himself when I thought he was touching the jellyfish. He later negotiated the ransom for this pirate's release with the aquarium's hippo mascot Bert, who was still guarding the snack bar: a slice of cheese pizza, side of fries and a cup of spooky pudding. Evan is a shrewd pirate!
Somewhere along the way, a shark must have jumped out of his aquarium and chomped down on Evan's head! Look how calm and cool he is in the gift shop when we first noticed this shark attack. It going to take a lot more than a shrimpy shark to make our boy cry!
Here's Evan outside the aquarium at the end of the day. You might think from all the activity that this was 6 p.m. You would be wrong. It was much closer to 2 p.m. and Daddy was beat! I have no idea how Steph does this every day??!! My strategy - I timed my conversation with Evan on the way home so that he fell asleep 10 minutes before we got home, and then we took a two-hour nap together!! Saturday afternoon naps with Evan - life doesn't get much better than that!
