Sunday we competed in the Tuckahoe Triathlon. Here are some shots from the day. I had the best and the cutest support crew out there! Not pictured is Grandmom Bock, who is taking some of these pictures.
How cool is this sign Evan made for me? Steph wanted me to tell everyone that she just woke up and came out to the race when this picture was taken, but she looks great here, I think!
Here I am during the run, running away from the bay and the Tuckahoe Inn, which you can see in the background. I was ready for the race to be over right about now. The big smile on my face is because I just spotted my support crew!
Evan, sitting on one of the swim buoys at the end of the race. He's got the "It's 30 minutes past my mid-morning nap time, DAD!" look on his face.
Me and Evan, with the Garden State Parkway bridge in the background. Ocean City is just on the other side of this bridge. The swim course is right behind us.

Evan Rocks The Puma
Fun with daddy
We were just about to head out to Jessica's birthday party today when I decided that I needed coffee. So, Mike decided to put Evan in the backpack that Janice and Bob brought up for us courtesy of Alicia Dueter. It's awesome and even has a built-in backpack for diapers. That's good because Mike thinks diaper bags cramp his style. We're planning on hiking with Evan in it (and with my new running shoes) and then having a picnic lunch on the trails. Evan had a good time in in while wearing his Phillies hat.
Thank you Janice, Bob and Alicia!

Jude's 2nd Birthday
So little Jude Daly turned 2 years old! The kiddo has been sleeping in a big boy bed since he started escaping his crib at 18 mos. He's quite the little tough guy and looks like a surfer dude with his white-blonde hair and tan. So just a little background on the Daly parties.... Tim and Marti are both from huge Irish-Catholic families. Kids EVERYWHERE. It's a lot of fun at their house, but it does get crazy. Marti is one of six kids and Tim's one of five. Between the Marti and Tim and their siblings' children, there are 23 kids... I think 23... There could be more, but there's definitely one more on his way (Erin is pregnant with her 5th boy!)
Evan had a blast with all the kids. He kept cracking up when Jude was trying to blow up a balloon and he would put his arms out to everyone because he wanted to play with them. I bet next year he will be running around with the pack. He also got tons of kisses and hugs from Sean and Alice's youngest, Anna. She followed Evan everywhere. At one point, I felt someone hugging my legs and I looked down and saw Anna who wanted me to bring Evan down to her. It's not unusual to be hugged by a random child at Marti's house.
Oh ya, and there was a pinata! Pure anarchy. Jude's up to bat.
Tim holding up the pinata:
Here's Jude with cake-face:
My old roomie, Toni with her husband Chuck and baby Jake who was walking all over the place.
We had a great time as usual. We can't wait for another Daly party!

Evan In The Park
Steph has some free-lance work so Evan and I decided to get out of her hair and hit the Thursday night concert series at Gorgas Park. We got there and the bands were still setting up, so we played on the swings for a while. The sun was setting so I had Evan pose for me while we waited. Can't get a bad shot with this kid. Evan crashed during the first band, and never woke up on the walk home. He was all "Whoa! Dude - How did we even get home last night!" when he woke up this morning. His first true concert experience...
Happy 7-Month Birthday EVAN!!
We couldn't agree which one was cuter - so we put up both! Here's Evan's 7 month update: He's now eating solids twice a day consisting of rice cereal, oatmeal, bananas, sweet potatoes and as of today - apples! We also let him suck on whatever fruit or vegetable we happen to be eating at the time. He can sit up for longer periods of time now, rolls around all over the place, can stand when holding onto something for support, and pushes your hand away when he doesn't want it. He has two big teeth and may be pushing out more on the top judging his swollen gums. He loves baths, walks, people, chickens, paper - really anything. He rides in his stroller with his feet propped up on the tray like he owns the place. He stares and laughs at the kids at the playground and really seems to want to play with them. We make friends wherever we go! He's the best. Our Evan.
What Daddy DIDN'T post
Mike putting together Evan's sun tent.
(it's not his fault... it was missing a pole, but still funny. hehe)
And some more shore shots...

Cute feet
Evan driving PopPop's van in front of the Irish Pub in Atlantic City. (YEEEES, the car is in park. We aren't THAT country.) Notice the sleepy eyes. He once again is up past his bedtime.

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa Those Wildwood Days!
Evan certainly proved that in Wildwood, every night is a Saturday night. It was past his bedtime as we strolled up and down the boards on Sunday night, but the little guy showed no signs of being tired - didn't even rub his eyes once. He was checking everything and everybody out (just like his Mom!). We had a great time, and are looking forward to spending some time up here in a couple weeks with Aunt Kelly, Uncle Mike and Jack!!
Evan's First Boardwalk Ride
We went up to the boardwalk on Sunday in Ocean City and took Evan on his first ride. Here is a picture of Evan and Mommy waiting in line to go on the Merry Go Round on Gillian's Wonderland Pier.
Evan is adventurous, like his parents. As soon as the ride started, he grabbed the bridle and was off to the races. This boy will be on the biggest roller coasters in no time...

The Baptism - Now more stuff!!!
Thank you so much to PopPop Cronin and Joel for sending us more pictures! Mike and I were such slackers with the camera that day. The Baptism was so great... We got to see so many people that we haven't seen in a long time. Mike and I were blown away at how generous you all were to our baby. We love you all and we're so lucky to have you in our lives. THANK YOU!!!!!
Also, a special thanks to Anthony at Kildare's. We didn't have to worry about a thing during the whole party... He took very good care of us and my family loved him. My family also loved the waiters and bartender who treated them well - thank you all at Kildare's!
Now, finally we have some pictures! Doesn't Evan look more Catholic now? Notice the greasy spot on his head where he was annointed. It smelled minty- even after a bath.
PopPop before Evan got dressed...
At the ceremony at St. John the Baptist. Deacon Baratta performed the ceremony, which was BEAUTIFUL.

Evan with his Godparents Uncle Dan & Aunt Brittany
Evan with both sets of grandparents:
Why, oh why did my face have to ruin this picture? Evan with Uncle Mike, Aunt Kelly and cousin Jack. Please ignore my crazy face. Mike must've goosed me.
Again. My stupid face. Here's Evan with Mike, Uncle Dan, Aunt Mel and Elizabeth
Colin and Avery looking soooo angelic
Mike and Evan with Cindy and Karen:
Arlene, Uncle Bill and Mima. Dave Stoetzer is behind them giving a crazy face.
And now the party...

Aunt Diane, Evan, Uncle Allen, Uncle Robert and Mima
Evan, with the PopPops. Playing with beer. Hey! Wait a minute!
Evan was a complete champ. He only took a half hour nap during the reception, only to wake up for some more partying. He finally crashed at the tail end with Aunt Donna. Mike also voted Jake Sullivan (now 1 years old!) as MVP due to his power napping and endurance. Jake parties like his mom, Toni (pre-children Toni that is). Of course slacker me doesn't have any pictures of Jake, Toni or Chuck, but here's Evan with Aunt Donna:
That night we checked into the Holiday Inn and took over the place. A bunch of us sat outside in lawn chairs with the left-over Baptism cake and chatted, Mike swam in the pool with Evan's cousin Jack, then everyone headed over to TGIFridays for a late dinner (everyone went to dinner but me, I was asleep with my Catholic son).
The next day we had check-out time at the hotel pushed back so that Evan (and Mike) could take a nap. Awwwwww. The boys were up late the night before partying into the wee hours. Mike was with Timmy and Mike Gifford at Westie's and Evan was with his mommy, refusing to sleep in the hotel crip. He kept staring at me while gripping the bars and crying. He ended up in bed with me at 10pm. Who knows what time Mike came back.
The next day, we sat poolside and polished off the cake (Aunt Genie had it sitting on the airconditioning vent in her room to preserve it the night before). Then Jessica, Sarah, Mike, Evan and I walked over to Target to buy diapers because I didn't bring enough. Then we went home, opened cards and gifts and cried (I cried, not Mike). Woo!

6 Month Well Visit
Here are the latest stats. First of all the doctor said that Evan's height is "off the charts". Also, despite the fact we call him Buddha Belly, he's actually long and lean for his age. She also said he has a "very mature face" and "very beautiful eyes". That's our boy! Also notice that Evan has lost all of my features except for his hair color and his nose and pretty much looks exactly like daddy. I'm sure Evan's hair will darken when he gets older like mine did. Anyway, here's his stats"
Weight: 18 lbs 13.6 oz (65%)
Height: 2' 4.65" (95%)
Head Circumference: 45 cm (75%)

Dinner with Danielle, Mark and Uncle Bill
Mike and I met Danielle, Mark and Uncle Bill for dinner on Friday night at Buddakan. We had a great time even if it was short. Grandmom babysat for us and took Evan to the park so that he could swing on the swings. He kept staring at the big kids and thought that he was a big kid too. My mom said he tried to befriend two little redhead kids. She couldn't tell if one was a girl or a boy, but they were both dirty from playing. Next year Evan will be covered in dirt too!
Mmmmm. Swings are yummy.
After dinner we met Grandmom & Evan on the street since they were just heading back from the park. Evan sat on Daddy's shoulders on the trip back to the house. Notice the smooth face of daddy! No beard! It's Evan's bedtime here so he has sleepy eyes.
